Please check the Events Calendar for dates.
Anyone from the age of 12 years can attend the classes / workshops.
+ When is your next workshop?

Anyone, young or old, can try their hand at glassbeadmaking. We have had various students, from as young as 7, who did quite well, up to someone in their early eighties! Even people with disabilities can try, depending on each case of course. It is not suitable for blind or mentally disabled people.
+ Do I need to buy a Starter Kit to do the class?
No need to buy anything additional to do the class.
+ What is included in the class fee?
All materialsnecessary for projects during the 2 days are included. The student will be trained in our fully equipped studio, using our tools and torches. We also supply a light meal and refreshments during the day. All beads made by the student is theirs to take home.
+ What do I need to be able to make glass beads from home?
Our Basic Starter kit is ideal to start off making glass beads from home. You will need to get a 9Kg LPG or Handigas cylinder as well, available from a hardware store or gas supplier - or just 'borrow' the one on hubby's gas braai;-)

+ Wen can I do the Intermediate class and what do you teach in this class?
At this stage you should already be comfortable with handling hot glass and making glass beads.
The focus is on encasing beads with clear glass. We teach various encasing methods and explain when to use which type of application. We also show you how to include silver leaf and we teach how to do encased flowers.
+ What will I learn in the Advanced class?
We will show you how to achieve very special effects and how to add silvered glass, with reduction a nd striking effects.
+ Can you teach anything else after the Advanced class?
Yes! Bring us a picture of what you would like to make and we'll teach you how to do it (if we can! and if we can't, we'll make a plan to do something similar, or even better...!)

+ Hello: If I purchase some of your beadable blanks, how do I convert the price to US dollars?
Also, are they sold as each or is there a minimum?
Thanks.
I usually look up the day's exchange rate between US$ and South African Rand. Today it's eg. R9,01 to the dollar, so a sugar spoon of R42 costs $4.67 (divide rand amount with dollar amount).
The pieces are normally sold as each unless we specify otherwise eg. salad set, that would be a spoon and fork. There is no minimum. The standard shipping rate of R99,00 is for South Africa only, should you wish to place an order we would need to get your 'wishlist' via email and then we would get an International Postal Services quote and let you know.
We can request your payment with Paypal.
